Sashiko is a traditional style of mending and fabric reinforcement from Japan. With its iconic geometric stitch designs, it offers a beautiful way to repair clothes and embrace hand embroidery.
Here at Beyond Repair, we use traditional Sashiko cotton thread to visibly repair jeans for you and embroider patterns that are inspired by the Japanese traditions. We also offer this style of mending for other natural fibre based repairs such as cotton and linen. We will patch the outside of the broken area and then use running stitch as per our photograph unless you request otherwise.
(All we ask is that you send us clean clothes - even/especially jeans.)
